Dear Editor:

I want to thank Councilwoman Joann Ariola for highlighting the consequences to our community if ballot proposals 2, 3 and 4 are passed. These proposals will open the floodgates for more development without oversight.

We need to vote NO on proposals 2, 3 and 4. These proposals are looking to cut out the current steps to review and approve development. They are looking to speed up the process by eliminating the guidelines to protect communities from rezoning changes, the study of environmental and infrastructure impacts and most importantly to remove the input and vote from our city council representatives.

With the Alma Realty Development looming in the background, we urge you need to vote NO to these proposals.
