TEMPLE BETH EL PROGRAM ON JEWISH IDENTITY FEATURES THE MOVIE “SCHOOL TIES”

On Tuesday evening, October 10, an Adult Education program on, “Jewish Identity In Cinema,” will take place in Temple Beth El of Rockaway Park. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., in the main Sanctuary upstairs, a presentation by Cantor Dennis Waldman will be followed by the movie, “School Ties,” starring Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon. The movie and evening will address the general topic of antisemitism in academic life. Given the alarming spike in bias and violence in recent times, the program is not only timely and relevant to students, but to people of all ages and backgrounds. Following the movie there will be dessert and beverages in the downstairs Social Hall.

IMPORTANT: There is no charge, but all interested in attending should RSVP to the Temple Beth El office at 718-634-8100. Temple Beth El is located at 201 Beach 121st Street in Rockaway Park.
