Thank you, Bishop Brennan
A special banner was created for the Mass on Sunday, March 22, to thank Bishop Robert Brennan for deciding not to close St. Camillus Church, an announcement made at the previous Sunday Mass.

The banner was displayed at the front of the church during Mass and then carried out at the end for the parishioners to take a photo with at the back of the church, to be sent to the bishop, in an act of gratitude for his decision.

A mass effort was made to fill the pews after it was announced in May 2025 that St. Camillus on Beach 100th Street would have to close permanently at the end of the year. As the church became more crowded, that decision was delayed and ultimately, parishioners received some good news of the reprieve for the church last week. The community is asked to continue attending the 11:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Donations are also welcome. A new administrator is expected to be assigned in June, when coordinated fundraising efforts will begin. For more updates, follow the Save St. Camillus Church Facebook page.
