 The Stage Was ‘Poppin’

The auditorium at PS 114 was filled with excitement and applause as students took to the stage for an incredible production of Mary Poppins Jr., delighting the audience with an evening of music, dance, and imagination.

Directed and choreographed by Danny Durr, the cast delivered a polished performance filled with lively musical numbers and strong stage presence. Stage manager Gina Machado ensured everything ran smoothly, while Music Director Casey Stabiner led the cast through standout vocal performances.

School principal Mr. Halfmann expressed how proud he was of the students, praising their commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the entire production process.

The school extends its sincere thanks to Council Member Joann Ariola for funding this exceptional program making opportunities like this possible for students to explore and thrive in the performing arts.

Special appreciation goes to parent coordinator Barbara Luciano for her incredible efforts in creating tickets and designing the playbill.

The school also thanks the PTA for the beautiful decorations that adorned the entrance to the show, transporting theatergoers to London, England in the 1910s and setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.

The performance not only highlighted the students’ artistic talents, but it was also a true celebration of student creativity and community support at PS 114.
