The Many Lives of Howard Hughes
On Sunday, February 16 at 2 p.m., head to the Ryan Visitor Center in Floyd Bennett Field to join a park ranger to examine the many different careers of record -breaking Floyd Bennett Field aviator Howard Hughes. May be cancelled if inclement weather.
Coastal Ecology and Resilience Walk
On Sunday, February 16 at 11 a.m., head to Beach 44th and the boardwalk to join the Urban Park Rangers as you explore the urban coastal ecosystem of Rockaway Beach. You will discuss the importance of our disappearing coral reefs and the efforts of building artificial reefs to curb the effect their loss will have on our shorelines.
Black History Month Event
On Monday, February 17 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., head to the Arverne East Nature Preserve Welcome Center (190 Beach 44th Street) to join Feed My Sheep Street Ministries for a Black History Youth Vision Board making, family games, education and more.
Winter Birds and Wildlife Survival
On Saturday, February 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., join naturalist Don Riepe for a slide program and guided tour of the ponds and trails at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge to look for birds and other wildlife. Bodyweight Circuit Training
On Tuesdays at 5 p.m., head to The B.R.I.D.G.E. (217 Beach 92nd Street) for a circuit training class that combines bodyweight resistance training and conditioning for a full-body workout. All levels welcome. Bring a mat. First-come, first-served.

On Thursdays through May 1, at 6 p.m., head to the Arverne meeting room (312 Beach 54th Street) to join Gloria for this total-body, non-contact workout for all fitness levels.
Uplifted Dance Fitness
On Mondays and Tuesdays at 11 a.m., head to Redfern Community Center (1544 Hassock Street) for a free dance workout class with Miss Dawn.
Rockaway St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Save the date! The Rockaway St. Patrick’s Day parade is Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. It kicks off from Beach 130th and Newport Ave., turns at Beach 116th and heads down Rockaway Beach Blvd. to Beach 102nd Street.
