Birding Atop Fort Tilden
On Saturday, June 28 at 10:30 a.m., head to the observation deck of Battery Harris East in Fort Tilden and join field guides for the chance to see birds of all kinds. Binoculars and a scope will be provided. Cancelled if raining.
Fort and Dunes Hike
On Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m., head to Building 1 (1 Murray Rd.) in Fort Tilden to join a park ranger on a guided nature walk on trails and learn about the history of the area. This program includes walking for approximately 2 miles on uneven terrain.
Jamaica Bay is for Everyone
On Sunday, June 29 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., head to 4806 Norton Ave. in Edgemere for a day of free sailing lessons or tours with Sail Rockaway. Plus enjoy music, food and drinks.
Shorebird Festival
On Sunday, June 29 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., head to the boardwalk at Beach 60th Street to join NYC Park’s Piping Plover Team for a day of educational activities and crafts to help us better understand how we can all share the beach with shorebirds. For all ages, with activities geared to younger audiences.
Queensboro Dance Festival
On Sunday, June 29 at 5 p.m., head to the Beach 94th Amphitheater for a series of dance performances as part of the Queensboro Dance Festival.
Rockaway Refresh at B. 108
On Mondays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., head to Beach 108th and the boardwalk for a shoreline cleanup with JBRPC after the busy weekends.
Total Body Conditioning
On Monday, June 30 at 11 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) to join a free total body conditioning training with a combination of pilates and stretching elements, with Nadia Ozcan, AFAA certified group fitness instructor.

RAA’s Art Exhibits
On Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., head to Rockaway Artists Alliance’s studio 7 in Fort Tilden for their exhibits “Lean on Me: Everyday Acts of Humanity” and “Structures: Portals.”
Yoga on the Beach
