Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., head to the playground at Beach 107th and Shore Front Parkway for the 100th Precinct’s Easter Egg Hunt. Recommended for ages 12 and under. Bring a basket.

 

Achilles Adaptive Cycling

On Sunday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., head to Floyd Bennett Field as Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and Achilles International team up to bring adaptive cycling to FBF. This free program offers people living with disabilities the chance to enjoy a ride on a tandem bike or handcycle in a welcoming, supportive environment.

 

A Taste of Natural Healing

On Monday, March 30 at 10 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) as Alexandra G. Taggart, certified instructor of Dragon’s Way Qigong, leads a FREE thirty-minute class. The Four Energy Gates is a practice to awaken the body’s energy flow. Think almost like an acupuncture treatment, but you are the practitioner!

On Monday, March 30 at 11:45 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) for a FREE thirty-minute class, led by Ann Fosteris, that focuses on core and lower body. Participants should bring their own mats. All levels!

 

Spring Food Distribution

On Wednesday, April 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Councilwoman Joann Ariola’s office (114-12 Beach Channel Drive) is holding a spring food distribution of chicken, sides, vegetables and dessert. Must pre-register by calling 718-318-6411.

On Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m., head to the Knights of Columbus (333 Beach 90th Street) for Community Board 14’s Housing and Land Use Committee for discussions on the community benefits and rezoning of 228 Beach 87th Street, 22-79 Mott Ave. and the Surfside Development from Beach 105th to 108th.
