On Thursday, November 23 at 10 a.m., head to Beach 67th Street for a bagel breakfast with the New York Dippers Club. Feel free to go for a dip in the ocean after!

 

Little North Pole

On Saturday, November 25 at 3:30 p.m., head to the Little North Pole at 144-03 Neponsit Avenue for the annual lighting ceremony featuring performances, food and fun to support JDRF and other causes.

 

Clean Coast, Green Future Hike

On Sunday, November 26 at 1 p.m., head to Beach 44th and the boardwalk to join Urban Rangers for an informative adventure focusing on coastal resiliency and the work that is currently being done to help protect NYC’s shorelines. Learn how to safeguard the beauty of our coastal haven and create a sustainable, resilient future for all!

 

Turkey Trot

5K

On Thursday, November 23, the Rockaway Track Club is hosting a Turkey Trot 5K. Day of registration begins at 8 a.m. at Healy’s Pub on Beach 108th Street. The race starts at 9 a.m. on the boardwalk. To pre-register, head to www.Rockawaytc.org

On Friday, December 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., head to the Belle Harbor Yacht Club (533 Beach 126th Street) to get a head start on holiday shopping with gifts from 40+ local vendors.

 

Broad Channel

Craft Fair

On Friday, December 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., head to the American Legion Hall (209 Cross Bay Blvd.) in Broad Channel to shop crafts made by the Broad Channel Crafters. Proceeds go to local churches and the Operation Comfort Warrior Program.

 

JASA Weekly Arts

On Thursdays at 10 a.m., adults 60+ are welcome to JASA Rockaway Park Older Adult Center (106-20 Shore Front Parkway) for weekly painting/arts and crafts. Let your creativity be free! To RSVP and for more details, call: 718-634-3044.

Hangar B Open House

On Sundays through Nov. 26, at 1 p.m., head to Hangar B at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn to tour the dozens of restored aircrafts currently housed in this former Naval Air Station Hangar and discover the many historic aviation firsts that happened right here at Floyd Bennett Field.

 

Chair Movement Class

On Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m., head to Temple Beth-El on Beach 121st Street for a Chair Movement Class led by Christine Walker. Donation based.

 

Chair Yoga

On Tuesdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ruth Graves, certified yoga instructor, teaches a free 45-minute chair yoga class. Beginners to seasoned practitioners are welcome!
