Women’s Health Fair

On Thursday, April 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., head to the EHS Clinical Learning Center (1909 Plainview Ave.) for a women’s health fair featuring food, drinks, music, trivia, raffles, free health screenings and more.

 

Floyd Bennett Field! Arts Festival

From April 19 through 21, JBRPC is hosting a Floyd Bennett Field! Arts Festival. Artist preview and reception on 4/19, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Makers Market, food vendors, live performances, projection mapping and silent dance party on 4/20, 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., plus special access to historic sites on 4/21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Walk for Autism

On Sunday, April 21 at 11 a.m., head to Beach 95th Street to join Rockaway Beach Autism Families, Special Olympics, ABA Tree and more for the 2nd Walk for Autism. Walk from Beah 95th to Beach 126th and back to Beach 95th. Enjoy live performances, vendors and more. Free!

 

Denim Day

On Saturday, April 27, head to Hammel Playground on Beach 84th and Rockaway Beach Blvd. for Denim Day 2024. Help raise awareness for sexual assault and domestic violence and partake in various activities such as self-defense seminars, workout classes, Zumba, a vigil, and hear from speakers.

 

Cardio Punch

On Saturdays at 11 a.m., head to Beach 60th and the boardwalk to join Gloria for this total-body, non-contact workout for all fitness levels.

 

Master Fitness™

On Mondays from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ann Fosteris teaches a free 45-minute exercise class. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!


Core on the Floor

On Mondays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ann Fosteris leads a free 30-minute class focusing on core and lower body. Participants should bring their own mats. All levels are welcome!

 

Toddler Learning Center

On Wednesdays through April 3 at 10:30 a.m., head to Peninsula Library (92-25 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) as children 12 months to 36 months can play with toys while adults can chat with a professional about parenting, nutrition, speech, literacy, and movement.

 

Seaside Movie Night

On Thursdays at 5 p.m., head to Seaside Library (116-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) for a seasonal selection of movies our adults and older adult movie fans will enjoy!

 

Crochet Club for Kids

On Fridays at 4 p.m., kids ages 6-11 are welcome Peninsula Library (92-25 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) to learn the basics of crocheting and how to make a scarf or handbag. Must call 718-634-1110 to reserve a space.

 

Computer Skills

for 50+

Are you 50+ years of age and want to improve your computer skills? Classes in Basic Computer and Microsoft Excel classes start April 17. Join the 50+ Wellness Program Family at Kingsborough Community College. Additional classes are being offered for the mature adults. Call 718-368-5050  for info and to register.

 

Free Aging Mastery Program

My Turn Program
