Why Me?

Although deals are getting done, the market tends to slow up during the summer. The seasonality makes it even more important to make the correct choice of a broker. This is the third article in a series on that topic. A few weeks ago, I wrote about MORALITY in my article called: “Thinking About Ziegfeld”. Also, not too long ago, I wrote about choosing the BEST broker, not the “pretty” one – as the actor Albert Brooks erred in a TV show (my article entitled: “The Wrong Choice”.)
Most brokerages list multiple agents as contacts – as I do. Clients often end up with one of the agents – NOT THE BROKER/OWNER. This is a MAJOR difference between my service and that of my competitors. My agents are primarily used as backup. My involvement in EVERY deal gives my clients the benefit of my knowledge and experience. As a 38-year Rockaway resident, and a 20-year broker here, I know the history of many listings. Historical facts make a difference. Why did “they’ move? Why did THAT house sell at THAT price?
I’ve sold over 400 properties primarily in Rockaway. I’ve also sold properties in Atlantic Beach, Bergen Beach, Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Bay Ridge, Park Slope, Manhattan Beach, and the Five Towns. This gives me an overview of the broader market which brings further value to my Rockaway clients.
