Winter Storm Elliott Emergency Town Hall
If you’re reading this on Thursday, here’s a reminder that there will be an Emergency Town Hall Meeting tonight, January 5, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Goldie Maple Academy, 365 Beach 56th Street, Arverne, NY 11692.
The meeting will be in response to the devastating damage caused by Winter Storm Elliott here in Rockaway, as well as other areas in Southeast Queens.
Senator James Sanders Jr., who will be hosting the meeting, will address what actions are being taken to aid in the recovery process. He will be joined by agencies from the federal, state and city levels, in addition to local elected officials, to provide an assessment of the flooding and other damages.
This event is open to the public.
