3 on 3 By the Sea on Friday
The 10th Annual Clare Droesch 3 on 3 by the Sea is tomorrow, Friday, August 25, at the St. Francis de Sales Schoolyard on Beach 129th Street. Nearly 100 teams in boys’ and girls’ divisions ranging from third grade to Men’s and Women’s Open will compete and honor the memory and legacy of Rockaway basketball legend Clare Droesch, and her courageous battle against breast cancer. Games will begin at 10 a.m. and continue through the afternoon.
Apparel will be available for purchase along with 50/50 and special raffle tickets. Proceeds go to the Clare Droesch Foundation administered by the Graybeards, supporting scholarships at St Francis de Sales Catholic Academy, Christ the King High School, and Boston College, as well as support to families in need.
A post-event party will then take place in the evening at Callie’s on Beach 129th.
