Celebrate Family Week at The Rockaway Hotel
Thinking about a staycation or something fun for the kids to do when they’re off school? This winter break, families are invited to escape the mundane and immerse themselves in a week of fun at The Rockaway Hotel + Spa. Kicking off on President’s Day Weekend, the hotel’s annual Family Week runs from February 17 to 22, offering activities and entertainment for all ages at this local beachside retreat.
Throughout the week, the hotel’s expansive event space will transform into the ultimate family hangout, featuring games, arts and crafts, movie nights, and more. While the kids stay entertained, adults can enjoy the hotel’s luxurious amenities, including daily fitness classes at The Studio, rejuvenating treatments at the spa, and warming up in the sauna at the Winter Pool House. With rates starting at $184, families can book their stay using code “FAMWEEK25” to take advantage of the hotel’s best rates. However, you don’t have to book a stay to participate in the activities and can buy tickets separately.
The family week schedule is as follows:
On Monday, February 17 at 1 p.m., there will be a Guided Paint Activity of a winter scene. At 4:30 p.m. is Cinematic Creations” “Frozen” Inspired Craft and Activity (one hour). And at 6 p.m., watch the inspiration behind the art, “Frozen,” as part of Movie Night.
On Tuesday, February 18, at 11 a.m. is a Mad Science Activity. At 1 p.m. is a Fashion Craft Activity. At 4:30 p.m. is Cinematic Creations with a “Happy Feet” Inspired Craft and Activity (one hour), followed by Movie Night featuring “Happy Feet” at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, February 19, at 9 a.m. is a Self Defense Class. At 11 a.m. is a Guided Paint Activity. At 4:30 p.m. is Cinematic Creations with a “Narnia” Inspired Craft and Activity (one hour), followed by a screening of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe” for Movie Night at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, February 20, at 9 a.m. is Kids Flow with Helen. At 11 a.m. is Weaving Loom with Shakira. At 1 p.m. is Craft with Felicia featuring a mini paint party. At 4:30 p.m. is Cinematic Creations with a “Ratatouille” Inspired Craft and Activity (one hour), followed by a screening of “Ratatouille” for Movie Night at 6 p.m.
Finally, on Friday, February 21, at 11 p.m. is Craft with Felicia featuring a Cozy Creation. At 4:30 p.m. is Cinematic Creations with a “Wicked” Inspired Craft and Activity (one hour), followed by a screening of “Wicked” for Movie Night at 6 p.m.
