Chris Koch Finishes His 20th Marathon in Rockaway

It was his wettest, coldest, and windiest marathon yet, but he did it. On Saturday, April 12, Chris Koch, born with no legs or arms, who came all the way from western Canada to compete, finished his 20th marathon at the Rockaway Track Club’s Spring Marathon. Koch spoke before the event to share some words of encouragement for all of the brave runners who took on the day’s marathon, half marathon and 5K. On his longboard, Koch finished later than expected with a time of 4:58:58, but he was happy to finish with the extra elements making racing in a marathon with no limbs, even more of a challenge.
