Debut News of Jade Cargill, Jordynne Grace & Naomi

Hey Wrestle Talk fans! Welcome to another week. We have a lot to talk about, so let’s dive right into it!

Let’s talk about this past week’s Royal Rumble Live Premium Event. Congratulations to Cody Rhodes for winning this year’s Royal Rumble. Also, it was one hell of a showing for CM Punk, who made it to the end of the Rumble going against Cody but came up short. He also, unfortunately, suffered an injury to his bicep and will be out of action. This is definitely a big disappointment, but I expect he will bounce back and return very soon.

Staying with the Royal Rumble, Jade Cargill, who we have mentioned here in Wrestle Talk, finally made her debut as the number 28 entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble and eliminated Becky Lynch and the debuting Naomi. Jade is poised to be a dominant performer in the WWE, and I am happy to finally see her official debut.

Another unexpected debut at this year’s Royal Rumble was the TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, as she was the number 5 entrant. This is the type of cross promotion I have mentioned here in the past. Nobody would have ever thought that the TNA Knockouts Champion would be seen in a WWE sponsored event as a performer. When Jordynne was asked about how she found out she was debuting at the Royal Rumble event, she at first thought it might be a publicity stunt. But once she confirmed it was true, she started getting prepared for the event. I hope to see more of these appearances from other wrestling superstars, in other companies, through cross promotion within different wrestling companies.

In other news, New Japan Pro Wrestling Superstar Hiromu Takahashi has officially re-signed with the company. Takahashi is the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. NJPW just recently saw the loss of two of their top stars in Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay, and this is welcomed news of his re-signing.

The Question of The Week comes from Harold M. in Far Rockaway, and he asked: “In regards to the WWE Raw Commentary Team, are Pat McAfee and Wade Barrett staying on as members of the team with Michael Cole?” Hey Harold, the answer is No. Wade Barrett will no longer be part of the commentary team on RAW. He is being replaced with Pat McAfee, who will now be Michael Cole’s new broadcasting partner pushing forward. We might see Wade Barrett go to the WWE Smackdown Show as their lead announcer, Kevin Patrick, was recently released from the company. We will keep everyone posted if that happens. Thanks for the question!

If you have a question or comment, please send it to eavil183@yahoo.com and have a great weekend!
