Final Weeks for Summer Classic
The end is near for the Summer Classic. Tonight, Thursday, August 17, is the championships for the Tim Klein Men’s Open leagues. A&S at the Harbor plays Rockaway Beach Local in the Division 2 final at 7:15 p.m. JG Electric faces Kennedy’s Restaurant for the Division 1 crown at 8:30 p.m. The Girls Grammar Senior championship is Friday at 7 p.m. Wednesday’s semifinals pitted Rockaway Times against Mullin Basketball Camp and Pipin’s Pub against Rockaway W.I.S.H. The Boys High School championship follows at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday’s semifinals were Kill, Wood, Ace, Mann & Delaney vs Bay Ridge Financial Group and Connolly’s vs Curran’s Superior Meats.
Boys Grammar Senior Quarterfinals are outside on Monday at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., while the Clare Droesch Women’s Open semifinals are in the gym. Callie’s plays Graf-X and Jamesons plays Crush Studio. The championship is the following night, Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. The Girls High School championship is immediately after at 8:30 p.m. Semifinals had NF-Beauty against The Storage Place and Flynn & Flynn against Denis S. O’Connor, Inc.
Boys Grammar Middle Quarterfinals are also on Tuesday outside at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Semifinals for Boys Grammar Middle and Boys Grammar Senior are next Wednesday at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. The 39th St. Francis Summer Classic then finishes on Thursday, August 24 with the Boys Grammar Middle championship at 7 p.m. and the Boys Grammar Senior at 8:15 p.m. Don’t miss this final exciting week.
