Unfortunately, many of the Easter egg hunts around town were canceled or postponed due to all the rain last weekend. But this Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the NYPD 100th Precinct is hosting their Easter Egg Hunt at Beach 108th Street and Shore Front Parkway (recommended for ages 12 and under). Broad Channel’s egg hunt has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m. at BCAC Field (125 Cross Bay Blvd.)

One of Rockaway’s newest restaurants (and one of the Rockaway Times’ new advertisers), Rhythms on the Rock (112-16 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), has been getting rave reviews. Sharp-eyed viewers will notice a surprise cameo appearance of The Rockaway Times in the Rockaway Theatre Company’s current production of “Monty Python’s ‘Spamalot.'” During a particularly uproarious comedic musical number, a “critic” character crosses the stage carrying a fresh copy of the RT! The show, which is getting rave word of mouth reviews all up and down the peninsula, runs for one more weekend only. It’s a riot! As part of Earth Month, if you need to shred old papers, Resorts World NYC will be having a Shredding Day event this Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at its A1 Parking Lot.

The Neponsit Adult Day Health Center was slated to close by March 31, but it appears their lease had been extended for at least two months. There are no other updates at this time.
