Good news for A train riders: it looks like the A train work is near completion and it is due to be completed on time! The MTA changed its website to reflect that service changes to the A train in Rockaway ends on May 19. That means normal service is due to resume on the A train that Monday. Big kudos to the MTA for sticking to their word and finishing the work on time!

And Carey Garden Design whose ad can be found on page 6. Give CGD a call for all your horticulture needs! And don’t forget to tell them The Rockaway Times sent you!

On Saturday, May 17, St. Francis de Sales will celebrate Father Jim Cunningham’s 30th Anniversary of Ordination at the 4:30 p.m. Mass, followed by a reception. Father Jim didn’t get a chance to publicly mark his 25th anniversary due to COVID, so we hope everyone comes out to make this one extra special. And a belated congratulations to Father Bill Sweeney, who recently celebrated 44 years as a priest! Thank you both for your dedication to our community.
