The 100th Precinct is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at Beach 108th Street and Shore Front Parkway. There will be an egg hunt and an Easter Bunny visit. This event is recommended for kids ages 12 and under.

Well, the first step to joining the New York City Fire Department is coming up in a few months. The filing period for the Firefighter Open Competitive exam #4044 opens on June 24, 2024. The Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy is recruiting for their Fellowship program, a paid six-month workforce development program for young adults (ages 18 to 25) focused on skills related to wetlands maintenance, monitoring, and restoration. On April 8, parts of western and northern New York will be treated to a total eclipse of the sun. As part of a state-wide “effort to protect New Yorkers,” Governor Hochul has announced that the state will be releasing “I Love NY” eclipse glasses. NYC Parks has announced that their lifeguard numbers are trending better than last year, but they are still looking for more manpower! They are looking for strong swimmers, aged 16+.
