Hey Wrestle Talk fans! I hope you are all doing well. Let’s dive right into the latest wrestling news!

For the last couple of weeks, AEW Superstar Rush has been rumored to be leaving AEW as his contract has apparently ended with the company. But in a recent Twitter post, Rush put all rumors to rest as he announced that he has re-signed with AEW. The terms of his new contract are currently unknown. We wish Rush much continued success in All Elite Wrestling.

AEW’s new show “Collision” has done well since its debut. A time change for the show has been announced for July 29, 2023. The show is scheduled to take place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut and will be broadcasted live at 7:30 p.m. instead of its original time of 6 p.m.

Staying with AEW, it has been announced that the Adam Cole and MJF’s Team t-shirt is the top selling merchandise in the company. It currently beat out the CM Punk t-shirt, which was the #1 selling merchandise since his return to AEW.

The WWE has recently announced that after a very successful tour of Mexico, it’s considering holding its next International Premium Live Event in Mexico. There are reports that there’s a huge demand for the WWE to return as it sold out and broke attendance records with over 25,000 tickets sold. The shows were held on July 22 in Ciudad De Mexico and July 23 in Monterrey.

A big contract signing has been announced which is a rematch for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Seth Rollins (c) and Finn Balor. The match is scheduled to take place at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event on August 5, 2023 in Detroit, Michigan. I am actually looking forward to this match, and hope that Finn Balor beats Seth Rollins to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The Question of the Week comes from Tom H, in Rockaway Beach and he asked, “Who do you think were the best NWA Tag Team Champions? My choice would be the Road Warriors. What’s yours?” Hey Tom, that’s a great question! The Road Warriors were a very dominant tag team and champions. But my choice would be Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, members of The Four Horsemen. The Road Warriors were powerful, but that’s all they had going for them. Arn and Tully were technicians, they knew how to wrestle, and how to pick apart their opponents. That was their edge, and what made them multiple time World Tag Team Champions. Thank you for the question!
