Lifeguards Needed at B. 108th

Dear Editor:

People get off the ferry and walk up Beach 108th Street and many stay on that beach which is considered for surfing. I witnessed our lifeguards from 106 shack running over to save girls caught in a riptide. This beach is too crowded with people to not have lifeguards. Or maybe have Parks Dept. workers stay there and keep people out of the water. The surfing beach can easily be moved over. Either way, something needs to be done for water safety.
