No to Prop 1
Dear Editor:
Proposal 1 is on the ballot this Election Day on page two. Prop 1 is disguised to be an Equal Right Amendment for women, but in reality, because of its vague wording, it will make it easier for children of any age to get puberty-blocking drugs and sex change surgeries without needing any parental consent.
Prop 1, which if passed would change our state’s Constitution, would also allow biological men to compete in all girls and women’s sports. It will give men the right to always use women’s dressing rooms, sports locker rooms and bathrooms.
And when you oppose these changes, you will be accused of discrimination and prosecuted.
Although many children’s rights groups and civic and religious groups have put out statements warning of the dangers of Prop 1, many people are still not aware of the affect it would have on family life and society as we know it.
We must tell our families and neighbors to vote NO on Proposal 1 on Nov. 5. This is an urgent Issue, and the outcome will affect us for our future.
