Slow Cooker Chicken and Meatballs

 Slow Cooker Chicken and Meatballs

By Sharon Feldman

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or use ground turkey)
  • 1 pound chicken wings (or any pieces of chicken you prefer)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package Lipton onion mushroom soup
  • Ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4-6 garlic cloves
  • Smoked paprika
  • ½ cup matzo meal (of breadcrumbs)
  • Spices you like. I just kind of go with the flow.
  • 1-1/2 cups of broth (I used 1 cup chicken/ ½ cup beef)
  • 3 tablespoons of ketchup

Directions:

In small bowl, combine ground beef, Lipton onion mushroom soup, matzo meal, ground garlic, ginger salt and pepper and egg. (Use whatever spices you like) Mix thoroughly. Make the meatballs.  I like small size.

Dry chicken wings and add the spices you like. I used salt, pepper, ground ginger, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian Herbs and smoked paprika. Sprinkle flour on top of the chicken.

Spray the slow cooker with olive oil. Add the chicken and meatball mixture. Add the whole cloves of garlic. Add 1-1/2 cups of broth. Add the ketchup. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Serve over no yolk noodles. Or serve with crusty bread and a vegetable.
