Stop Complaining

Dear Editor:
I have been living in Rockaway for the better part of 60 years. Sand has always blown from the beach onto the boardwalk and created sand mounds. It is not a catastrophe. The Parks Department used to just sweep it back to the beach. No task force was necessary. The wind blows and the sand flies. That’s nature. Also note that the ocean is home to sharks, jelly fish, crabs of all types and sting rays. Surprise, surprise. All part of nature. I am more concerned with the overflowing garbage pails on the beaches that are open. When the wind blows the garbage flies all over the beach. How about adding more pails?
We live in a beautiful part of NYC. If you lived in Brooklyn, you would be complaining about it being 100 degrees outside and you could fry an egg on the sidewalk as my mother used to say. Enjoy what you have and stop complaining.
