Summer Classic Winding Down

The 40th edition of the St. Francis Summer Classic is now nearly complete. The 2nd Grade, Boys Grammar Junior and Girls Grammar Junior divisions have finished their seasons. Semifinals for the Girls Grammar Senior, Boys Grammar Middle, Boys Grammar Senior and Boys High School were Wednesday night.
Last week’s rain has resulted in a change to the Tim Klein Men’s Open playoffs. Division 1 will now play their semifinals tonight, August 15, with Kennedy’s-Jamesons at 8 p.m. and Callie’s-Cabana at 9:15 p.m. The championship game will now be on Thursday, August 22 at 8 p.m.
Division 2 will play their championship tonight, August 15, at 8:30 p.m. after Wednesday semifinals at St. Rose between Team Crate-ServPro and LUV Cleaning-Tap That.
Friday’s championship schedule, August 16, on Court 2, has Boys Grammar Senior at 7 p.m. and Boys High School at 8:15 p.m. On Court 3, it will be Boys Grammar Middle at 7 p.m. and Girls Grammar Senior at 8:15 p.m.
Girls High School semifinals were Wednesday while the Clare Droesch Women’s Open league completed their regular season on Tuesday. Next week’s schedule in St. Camillus Springman Hall has Women’s Open Quarterfinals on Monday, August 19, Semifinals on Tuesday, August 20, and Thursday’s championships on August 21 begin with Girls High School at 6:30 p.m. followed by Women’s Open at 7:45 p.m.
