Bird Walk
with Feminist Bird Club
On Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge to join a ranger and members of the Feminist Bird Club for a guided walk around West Pond. Free to participate and binoculars are provided. Please dress for the weather.
Community Spring Cleanup
On Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., head to Beach 60th Street and Rockaway Freeway to join RISE for a spring cleanup. Help clean debris and remove invasive plants to prepare for the spring season. This event is rain or shine, so please dress accordingly and expect to get your hands dirty. Adults and kids alike are welcome. Students who want to do community service hours are encouraged to bring paperwork from their schools.
Easter Egg Hunt
On Sunday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., head to Beach 108th and Shore Front Parkway for the NYPD 100th Precinct’s free egg hunt, a visit with the Easter bunny, treats and more. Recommended for kids 12 and under.
Rockaway Makers Market
On Sunday, March 24 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., head to the Rockaway Beach Surf Club (302 Beach 87th Street) to shop from local vendors. Plus enjoy drink and a BBQ brunch for purchase.
Spring Food Distribution
On Wednesday, March 27 at 1 p.m., head to Councilwoman Joann Ariola’s office (114-12 Beach Channel Dr.) for a free spring food distribution of chicken, roasted potatoes and vegetables. Call 718-738-1083 to reserve.

On Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. on Zoom, the 100th Precinct Community Council is holding its monthly meeting. Hear updates from the NYPD and ask questions.
Queens Bus Redesign Pop-up
On Wednesday, April 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., head to the Beach 116th train station to let the MTA Queens Bus Network Redesign know your feedback on the MTA’s proposals for our bus network.
RISE Farm Share
From now through May 1, register for a 24-week membership of locally grown, certified organic vegetables as part of RISE Farm Share. Register at www.riserockaway.org/rise/programs/community/distribution . Distribution takes place every Wednesday, from June 5 to November 13, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at 58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Arverne.

On Saturdays at 11 a.m., head to Seaside Library (116-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) to join Gloria for this total-body, non-contact workout for all fitness levels.

On Mondays from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ann Fosteris teaches a free 45-minute exercise class. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!
Core on the Floor
On Mondays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ann Fosteris leads a free 30-minute class focusing on core and lower body. Participants should bring their own mats. All levels are welcome!
Toddler Learning Center
On Wednesdays through April 3 at 10:30 a.m., head to Peninsula Library (92-25 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) as children 12 months to 36 months can play with toys while adults can chat with a professional about parenting, nutrition, speech, literacy, and movement.
Seaside Movie Night
On Thursdays at 5 p.m., head to Seaside Library (116-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd.) for a seasonal selection of movies our adults and older adult movie fans will enjoy!
Crochet Club for Kids
