A Holiday WISH for Beacon Seniors
We WISH the seniors at Beacon Nursing Home a Merry Christmas! On Monday, December 30, members of WISH Junior, including Summer Duffy, Michaela and Lexi Gennaro, Scarlette Markle and Taylor Keiley donated their time, spreading some holiday cheer to the residents of the nursing home. On Friday, December 13, Rockaway WISH held their annual Treats with Santa community party, where they collected donations of accessories for local seniors. On Monday, the junior team delivered them to Beacon, along with sweet treats and cards. The girls went room to room spreading holiday cheer by handing out socks, hats, gloves, body wash and treats to all the residents. The social director at Beacon told the girls that he hadn’t seen residents smile like that in a very long time.
