West End Temple to Hold Spring Market in May

It’s been a long cold winter, and we are finally enjoying the sunshine and flowers we so impatiently waited for. What a wonderful time for the premier West End Market and Fair at the West End Temple, 147–02 Newport Avenue in Neponsit, on May 17.

This community event promises to offer a little bit of everything for everyone! Vendors will showcase in The Nagin Pavilion- a grand, indoor, air-conditioned space, in the Sylvane Salon, the moderate sized and sunny indoor air conditioned space, as well as on the outdoor Great Lawn.

Doug Meyer, chair of the event, explained, “This will be a well-advertised and long-awaited event located in the upscale neighborhood of Neponsit. We love our Rockaway neighbors and can’t wait to show it by bringing the community this multifaceted fun experience”!  Not looking to buy, but love good vibes? Doug adds, “Aerial Acoustics, incomparable professional musical artists, will be performing live from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the amazing vocalist Barry Waller from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.” Vendors include beautiful jewelry, fine art paintings and prints, custom inlaid fine gemstone tables, and cheese boards, stained glass windows and lamps, crystals, bicycles, unique gifts, housewares, handmade soaps, candles, oils, handmade creations, decoupage shells, vintage treasures, baked goods, botanicals, rare books, refreshments, self-improvement, health and other services.

In addition to refreshments, don’t miss the delicious pickle vendor, homemade jerky, authentic cotton candy and popcorn guys!

The West End Spring Market is happening on Sunday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 147-02 Newport Avenue.
