 Adrienne’s Celebrates Grand Opening

By Katie McFadden

Not for nothin’, Adrienne’s in Broad Channel might just be the spot to be this summer. The brand-new restaurant celebrated July 4th with a grand opening celebration for friends and family, and then the general public.

The grand opening party of the new restaurant named and designed in honor of late chef Adrienne Guttieri, included some samples of the restaurant’s mouthwatering dishes like chef Adrienne’s own Rigatoni Bolognese with fresh ricotta topping, a sample of their mouthwatering skirt steak on sandwiches, their heirloom tomato and Caesar salads, olives and even a taste of the shrimp cocktail from their raw bar.

Last week, Arienne’s finally got its liquor license, so guests were able to try some of the drink offerings like their frozen watermelon margarita made with Maestro Dobel Tequila and Espresso Martinis made with Stoli Vodka, Borghetti Espresso and Rocket Fuel.

On the back deck, Adrienne’s father, Richard Guttieri, said a toast, thanking the owners, his kids, Frank and Jessica Guttieri, his nephews, Chris Keegan and Leo Chavanne,  Joseph Hanning and others, for making it all possible. “You did Adrienne proud. This place is beautiful. I’m so happy that we’re here. Everybody, please raise your glass to Adrienne. You know she’d be right out there with us, but she’d be in the kitchen cooking saying, “you b*stards,” he said to laughs and cheers from the crowd as they raised their drinks.

DJ Teddy kept the guests entertained with music throughout the event that ended with an impressive fireworks show off the bay to celebrate Adrienne on the 4th of July.

Adrienne’s is located at 25 Van Brunt Road in Broad Channel. For more info, see: www.adriennes-nyc.com
