Massage Service of the week: Thai Yoga Massage
At Nurture U Wellness, We LOVE Thai Yoga Massage. What is Thai Yoga Massage?
Thai massage was developed by Buddhist monks in Thailand more than 2,500 years ago. It is an ancient healing practice originally done in temples to help facilitate health and wellness in the body, mind and spirit. Thai massage combines rhythmic massage, acupressure, Yoga stretching, gentle twisting, compression techniques, energy work and meditation. The therapist uses their hands, arms, legs, feet and elbows to perform this technique and help you reach your goals.
Thai is traditionally performed on a mat on the floor but is also available on a table. Client wears comfortable clothing which will allow for stretching and ease of movement. T-shirt and yoga pants are recommended.
The many benefits of Thai Massage may include:
- Relieves tension and headaches
- Alleviates muscle pain
- Eases joint stiffness and pain
- Increases flexibility and range of motion
- Helps stimulate the body’s circulation and lymphatic drainage system
- Helps calm the nervous system
- Activates the bodies energy pathways
