Wildlife Sketch Workshop

On Saturday, December 21 at 12:30 p.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge to join NPS rangers, local artist Samsam Graves (@samsamgraves), and Gotham Taxidermy’s Divya Anantharaman (@gothamtaxidermy) for a free drawing and sketch workshop focused on Diyva’s current taxidermy exhibition at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, featuring many of the raptors from Gateway’s taxidermy collection.

Santa Suit/ Grinch Run/ Walk

On Saturday, December 21, Rockaway Track Club is hosting its Santa Suit/ Grinch Suit 5K run or one mile walk. Check in and late registration at 9 a.m. at Healy’s Pub (108-07 Rockaway Beach Dr.). Run/walk begins at 10 a.m. on the Beach 108th boardwalk. Pre-register at Rockawaytc.org

Santa Sleigh Run

On Saturday, December 21 at 11 a.m., the MakeMyMotherProud Santa Sleigh is riding through town, making stop at Redfern, Beach 41st, Ocean Bay Cornerstone, 71-15 Beach Channel Dr., Hammels and Beach 116th Street. Listen and look out for the sleigh for a chance at giveaways.

Tail Waggers Photos With Santa

On Saturday, December 21 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., bring your furry friends to the Rockaway Freeway Dog Run (83-02 Beach Channel Dr.) for a festive photo with Santa and a special stocking stuffer for their Christmas stocking! Recommended donation $5.

Beach 116th Menorah Lighting

On Sunday, December 29 at 5 p.m., head to Beach 116th Street for the annual Hanukkah celebration with West End Temple, Temple Beth-El and others. Music, goodies and more.

Bodyweight Circuit Training
