Transportation Committee Meeting
On Thursday, March 13 at 7 p.m., head to the Rockaway YMCA (207 Beach 73rd Street) for Community Board 14’s Transportation Committee meeting. Discuss the redesign on Beach 73rd and Rockaway Beach Blvd., a request for speed bumps on Beach 22nd Street, a change of traffic pattern on Beach 39th to one way and review of Priscilla’s Law.
St. Patrick’s Bingo
On Friday, March 14 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., head to the Knights of Columbus (333 Beach 90th Street) for St. Patrick’s Bingo. A $40 ticket includes bingo, pizza and soda, cash bar, all to support Noah’s Ark Animal Rescue. Also enjoy raffles and a 50/50. Rockaway Beach Cleanup
On Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., head to Beach 59th Street and the boardwalk to join NYC Parks for a cleanup. Help remove debris from the coastline creating a healthier ecosystem. The NYC Parks Wildlife Unit will also host a bird walk! Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding Lesson
On Saturday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., head to Building 135 in Floyd Bennett Field to join Surf Skate Fitness for a free winter paddleboarding lesson for beginners. Sign up at www.surfskatefitness.com/winter-fitness.html or by texting 917-502-9764.
Storytime at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge
On Saturday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge for storytime featuring “Don’t Let the Pigeon drive the Bus.” Join a ranger for storytime and then create your own pigeon out of construction paper.
Mayor’s Town Hall
On Wednesday, March 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., head to P.S. 42 (488 Beach 66th Street) for a District 31 Town Hall with Mayor Eric Adams.
Art Exhibition: Noticin’
On weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., head to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge for Noticin’, an art exhibit joyfully exposing Jamaica Bay’s shoreline clutter.
Cardio Punch
On Saturdays through May 3, at 11 a.m., head to the Far Rockaway Library (1637 Central Ave.) to join Gloria for this total-body, non-contact workout for all fitness levels.
Chair Movement Class
On Monday and Wednesdays at 10 a.m., head to Temple Beth-El (201 Beach 121st Street) for Chair Movement class, stretching and strengthening for your whole body and mind. Donation based.
Master Fitness™
On Mondays from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ann Fosteris teaches a free 45-minute exercise class. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! Support provided by FRANC and Fund for the City of New York.
Core on the Floor
On Mondays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., head to RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Boulevard), as Ann Fosteris leads a free 30-minute class focusing on core and lower body. Bring a mat. All levels are welcome!

On Thursdays through May 1, at 6 p.m., head to the Arverne meeting room (312 Beach 54th Street) to join Gloria for this total-body, non-contact workout for all fitness levels.
