• The NASA spacecraft Juno, which launched in 2011 and reached Jupiter in 2016, contained three LEGO figures. The figures are modeled after Galileo, the Roman god Jupiter and his wife Juno. Unlike standard LEGOs, these three were made out of special space-grade aluminum.

• When threatened, the coral snake will fart.

•  The opposite of “ambidextrous” is “ambisinister,” which means that you’re equally bad with both hands.

• The word “Zebra” comes from the word “Zevra,” which means “wild ass.”

• Usain Bolt has scoliosis.

• A worldwide search for the best strain of penicillin for mass production was held in 1943. The winner? A moldy cantaloupe from Illinois.

• Every New Year’s in Japan, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony is played all across the country. The song was introduced to the Japanese through German POWs in WWI.

• Thomas Edison once tried to invent a phone to communicate with the dead.
