Following in Sullivan’s Footsteps
Thomas Sullivan took a break from the campaign trail to celebrate some momentous accomplishments within his family. His twin sons, Jack and Sean Sullivan, graduated from college, and Sean is following in his father’s footsteps by joining the military.
As the graduations were the same day in different states, Sullivan and his wife, Debbie, split parenting duties to attend both sons’ graduations. His wife went to South Carolina to watch as Jack graduated from the University of South Carolina. Sullivan and his mother went to Alabama to watch his son Sean graduate from the University of Alabama.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Sullivan had the honor of “pinning” his son Sean as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. Sullivan himself is a 30-year military veteran who served in three combat deployments and most recently retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, last serving as the Deputy Commanding Officer at the 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command Headquartered in Des Moines, IA. Sullivan is once again running for assembly in the 23rd district.
