One Last Gift

The Rockaway Times often runs a piece called: “Spotted,” that depicts a Rockaway resident wearing a Rockaway Times T-Shirt in a far off place. Well here’s a twist.

Last week, the Rockaway Times ran a story about former Yankee prospect Chick Kinzie turning 90. Turns out that someone who works for the Yankee organization lives in Rockaway and “spotted” the article. A few days later, he showed up at Charlie’s home and presented him with a Yankee jersey bearing the appropriate number.

Mr. Kinzie wants to thank The Rockaway Times for publishing his birthday article and making it possible to be noticed and receive the jersey.
