Great efforts at the NYC Half Marathon on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Anthony Morales came in at 1:12:19, taking home the Commissioner’s Cup for the NYPD once again.
Also doing well were Brendan Lally 1:27, Jonathan Watters 1:31, Katie Thompson 1:45, Jean Williams 2:07, Nina Kligman 2:10, Scott Blutstein 2:11, John Edwards 2:45, and Tim Murphy 2:46.
Practices are open for all people of all ages, starting March 21, Tuesdays at 6 a.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m. on the track at Beach Channel High School. Saturday long runs will take place at 7 a.m. on Beach 126th St and the boardwalk. Upcoming races include the Rockaway Spring Half & 5K on April 13, the Rockaway Mother’s Day Half & 5K on May 11 (see www.rockawaytc.org to pre-register), and the NYRR Brooklyn Half Marathon on May 18. Also, good luck to Kathleen Baumann as she gets ready to run the London Marathon in April.
