THEATER
RTC PRESENTS “THE MIRACLE WORKER”
Starting tomorrow Friday, November 3!
The Rockaway Theatre Company ends its sensational 2023 season on a resilient note with the 1959 Tony-award winning Broadway production, “The Miracle Worker.” Set in the American South in the 1880s, the emotionally strung play tells the true story of Helen Keller, who lost her sight and hearing at 19 months old, and Annie Sullivan, the extraordinary teacher who taught her to communicate with the world. As he told The Rockaway Times, the production’s co-director, David Risely, hopes theatergoers will “experience what drew me to this play in the first place. The message of resiliency and optimism is something that we all need in the crazy times we are living in.” Show dates: November 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19. General admission: $20 and Senior/Child: $15. For tickets, showtimes and more info, visit: www.rockawaytheatrecompany.org .
