Well Deserved Honors at 100th Precinct

Congratulations and farewell to Andrew McGee and Ozzie Edwards, who both dedicated several years of service to the 100th Precinct Community Council. Both members will be moving on, but they were recognized for their service at the latest 100th Precinct Community Council meeting, which was held in person for the first time in over three years, on Wednesday, June 28, at the Knights of Columbus.

Vice President McGee, who worked as a cop himself for 25 years, with some of that time spent in the 101st Precinct, served on the 100th Precinct Community Council for 26 years after retiring from the NYPD. Sergeant at Arms Edwards, an EMT who teaches CPR to the FDNY, served on the board since 2015. They were awarded with certificates of appreciation and civilian commendation awards from the NYPD. Three new board members were named, including Liz Geraghty as Vice President, Scott Ruscillo as Corresponding Secretary and Eddie Pastore as Sergeant at Arms. Best of luck to all!

Several officers were also recognized at the monthly meeting for going above and beyond.
