Alma’s Agenda

In response to Alma’s recent ad in the Wave on Friday, September 22, 2023. Once again, they are pushing their agenda for development. A recent article in The Guardian focused on Rockaway’s shore protection and the flooding plan after Sandy. They are terrible landlords where their current properties are concerned. Why would they build over 3X their current Rockaway capacity when they choose to keep their Rockaway tenants supplied with shoddy heat, hot water, vermin issues, unreliable elevators and a diminished maintenance staff.

It is apparent that the Alma Corporation’s priority is “Property over People”- filling their pockets while jeopardizing the entire Rockaway peninsula.
