Broad Channel Hearing
A public hearing will be held Friday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m. at VFW Hall, 713 Shad Creek Road, Broad Channel.
The purpose of the hearing is to dispute New York State DEC’s determination that all the lots in Broad Channel did not legally exist until 1984, when they were purchased from the City.
This determination limits the Upland lot coverage to 20% including decks, sidewalks and all structures located on the property.
Due to this determination any increase in lot coverage over 20% requires a permit from New York State DEC.
This hearing concerns my property on Shad Creek Road. I will be presenting documents and records at the hearing providing proof of the lawful existence of this lot.
