Pico Appreciation

Dear Editor:

I want to express my appreciation to The Rockaway Times for the story regarding Pico’s restaurant.  I went to Pico’s to thank manager Laura Perez in person. She was gracious, humble and glad to have been able to help on October 7. Laura and Liz Hanna relayed a message (that a family was safe) from a father in Israel to his daughter who was visiting in Belle Harbor. That was an incredible mitzvah (good deed) that they performed.

I also wish to thank Katie Larkin (from the Republican Club) and Thomas Sullivan for their poignant Letters to the Editor. The letters were factual, informative and showed moral clarity.
