Thank you, Rockaway!

The deadline has now passed for submitting comments regarding the Alma proposal’s Environmental Assessment Statement.

Thank you to everyone who submitted an email. You need to keep speaking up!

It is far from over but for now, we forced ourselves to be heard. We showed we are up to the challenge. We don’t mess around.

On behalf of the Surfside residents and the Rockaway community, SHAFT submitted a comprehensive response to the Alma proposal’s EAS. We addressed each of the 19 categories that were classified to have a significant adverse impact to the residents and community. This was important to make sure all risks and concerns were going to be included in the Environmental Impact Study.

We need to stay united and involved as this proposal moves along in the process. Thank you again.
