I want to take this moment to wish all of the fans of  Wrestle Talk, a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Let’s dive into the latest wrestling news!

Last week, we spoke about current WWE Superstar Karl Anderson, who is also the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) Never Open Weight Champion, who is defending his title at this year’s Wrestle Kingdom annual event, scheduled for January 4, 2023. We now have confirmed that former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks, whose real name is Mercedes Varnado, will be also be appearing at Wrestle Kingdom. We also have confirmed, through several sources, that she is expected to confront KAIRI, who is the NJPW Women’s Champion at the annual event. This is huge news, because it was highly anticipated, that Mercedes would return to the WWE. Now, we couldn’t confirm for how long she would be working at NJPW. But with her star power, she is definitely expected to be a huge draw in Japan.

Former WWE Superstar Chris Masters has been rumored to be making a guest appearance, at next year’s Royal Rumble Live Premiere Event in 2023. This past week, Masters was seen posting to his Twitter Account “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…….@WWE.” The countdown is a reference to the Royal Rumble, when the next participant in the Royal Rumble is preceded by a countdown timer. The 2023 Royal Rumble event will be held on Saturday, January 28 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

WWE Superstar Matt Riddle was recently suspended by the WWE for apparently violating their Wellness Program for the second time. But there are reports out there stating that the WWE has not officially acknowledged Matt Riddle’s suspension. So, we will keep you posted on this developing story.
