The Real Culprit

Dear Editor:

I suggest that the wrong person was charged in Ava Conklin’s death.

Ydanis Rodriguez and Polly Trottenberg, along with Eric Beation, at NYC DOT managers should be charged with negligent homicide.  They are responsible for Ms. Conklin standing in the street in front of an oncoming car.

They are the ones responsible for allowing streets to be designed by city planners instead of licensed professional engineers.

And Melinda Katz is also responsible because she has failed to prosecute DOT management for violating the NYS Education Law that requires engineering work to be done by licensed professional engineers rather than city planners playing engineer.
